Default Factual errors in press releases?

I mentioned the other day, about a factual error in a press release and
today there is another. Anyone just listening to the comms yesterday and
this morning would know that it is Steve only who is going to do the gap
filler operation, as indeed it was stated yesterday as well.

I know these are just posted by the usual person, but surely Nasa should at
least make sure they know what is being written by themselves?

Doubt it - at least at the public affairs level.

Look at the STS-107 press kit, prepared *months* in advance with plenty
of time to correct errors and have multiple eyes look at it for errors.
It states that STS-107 have the superlightweight External Tank even
though Columbia flew with one of the last lightweight tanks.

Couldn't they have bothered to do some research and get the facts
right?
