Default vacuum inside ET

Turn the external tank into a very large Thermos.

Weight would likely be a problem

In any case such a redesign with so few flights isnt going to happen

Double the weight: no payload.

It sounds good, but realize that until you get nice clean shiny surfaces and
a very good vacuum level, you don't get very good insulation.

There's a reason people use foam for these things.

So is staying in bed all day compared to driving to work, but it's not as
useful.

No payload = waste of time.

Saw the inside of the ET once just fuel tanks and lots of empty space
between , which seems like a waste. However, just create a vacuum in this
void area.

Double the weight: no payload.
