Yes, especially if Paytick Moore's brother (Sir Patrick) turns up and mucks
in.

Looks like a repeat from this coming saturday (6th) programme at 10pm -
a much better hour of the day. Actually, looks like Saturday night is
an astronomy special.

Quoting from the blurb:

"Adam Hart-Davis enters the world of amateur astronomy and visits Britain's
back garden star-gazers. He discovers their increasingly sophisticated home
equipment and examines the new collaborative relationship between the
amateur astrologer and the professions."

Arrrrggggghhhh!!!!

It is the BBC. Since when did they become the masters of accuracy?

Their incompetence at reporting science and technology issues is a source of
amazement and entertainment for me. Right now I'm glued to my PC watching
NASA TV.

BBC News 24 coverage of the EVA today ?

Zero. Zilch..apart from a promise to show some footage, which didn't
materialise. One presenter said that he was surprised that the crew had to
do so many repairs after just one launch. He didn't seem to realise that
they were working on the ISS.

However they are usually prepared to admit mistakes when pointed out to
them. As this one seems to have been. Now fixed.

But this one has not been,,, yet,,,
"and inspired a generation of amateur astrologers, among them Sir Tim
Rice and Dr Brian May."
In the blurb for/under the listing Sat.6August 1:50am "Sky at Night"
(ie. sat/sun night/morning)
http://www.bbc.co.uk/bbcfour/listings/week/
go to the 6Aug column and then down to 1:50am

And that was right after the first 1/2 of the sentence "The Sky at
Night has covered all the major events and developments in astronomy,"
got it right,,,
blithering idiot(s) !
gone badly downhill since I left 'em ;-!)
