Default Oceans of magma common on early asteroids

Could it be ?
..... Canadian news reporting on British science and not reported
elsewhere?

"Oceans of molten rock covered some of the first asteroids in our solar
system, researchers say.

Astronomers believe the solar system formed about 4.6 billion years
ago. Within about four million years, they say the first small
planetary bodies formed from collisions between space rocks.

It's thought that two types of meteorites, called HEDS and angrites,
formed when asteroids melted at the time. But it has been difficult for
astronomers to trace the origins of meteorites for evidence.

Now Richard Greenwood at Open University in Milton Keynes, U.K., and
his colleagues have compared meteorites traced to the asteroid Vesta
with another meteorite with an unknown asteroid origin. ..."
