Default IKONOS Pic of Discovery on the Pad

Just ran across this image, for anyone interested..

Taken 8 April 2005 and shows a *wide shot* of Discovery sitting on
Launch Pad 39B.

....as well as the crawler-transporter on its way back from the pad
(unless they're just parking it there).

I've seen CTs parked at that spot just outside the pad
perimeter during visits to KSC when a shuttle was on
the pad. I think they park it there, for awhile at
least, to support a quick rollback if needed.

Makes sense. It's not like they're gonna park it in the CT "garage" :-)

And keeping it there probably shaves a few hours off the rollback.
