Although my imaging is going OK tonight, I can see many mist patches around
the southern coastal regions, moving along. One just crossed my FOV! Its a case of looking for the clear patches and pointing accordingly! Lawrence Harris |

and the flight path out of Heathrow tonight is right over Southampton. One
just went right past M109, made a nice effect on the image! Lilian |

Yes, I thought that I noticed this. Fortunately by chance none has crossed my
focal plane...... Perfect tracking ....... my best ever. Could do with a network cable though, to save the walking backwards and forwards ;-) Lawrence On Fri, 18 Mar 2005 23:41:20 -0000, "Lilian" wrote: and another plane, this time past M106! Lilian |

Clared later and I was able to see Jupiter with one moon via 8x40 bins. (about 23:00). On checking later with SNBY I think it may have been Io and Europa in close prox but showing as one in low mag. I think transparency was pretty good once mist passed on! Laurence |

I was forced to stop at 10pm last night, the fog rolled in very heavily - by 10:30pm visibility was down to about 100ft and the moon was reduced to a faint glow ![]() Tonight is looking much better tho ![]() T |

Lilian When I was "testing" my new camera the other night I had sirius centered for a 30 second shot and a plane went _right_ across it. Interesting effect of the planes lights intersecting such a bright object. if it hadn't been random it could've been art .... -- .................................................. ......................... .. never trust a man who, when left alone ...... I was able to continue until after 1am before mist took over. Tonight I can
see the fog/mist in Selsey but Southampton is currently clear for a few hours... Unfortunately I can see the mist in Selsey is going to increase from the east. Still, at least you have Patrick to keep you company! regards Lawrence Harris :-) (MX916+HA filter hard at it!) Southampton is now getting covered in the coastal mist/fog as well. Time to
do darks/bias..... and finish. It will only get worse because the stuff is coming in off the channel.
