Default Borg 77 Eco semi-apochromat first light - first impressions

Dear all,

some months ago I acquired a Borg 77 Eco OTA, with the
intention of using it on holiday trips.

Tonight, I had a chance to give it first light on the Night Sky,
to check that I could set it up quickly when away from home.

I spent a while, in daylight, getting the right adaptor ring set up
with a 1.25" TeleVue Star Diagonal and a 10mm Lanthanum eyepiece
(magnification 65x , FOV ~ 0.7 degrees).

The Helical focuser takes a bit of getting use to, but it moves smoothly
and focussing is quite easy.

Given the poor quality of tonight's sky, up in northern England, I have to
say that I am pretty impressed with the image quality and I look forward
to better conditions to give the scope a proper test.

For the cost of the OTA (£350) I have to say that it is good value for
money.

regards

Robert
