Default Putting that Mac vs PC thing back into its astronomical track

Hello,

Let's tackle a less loaded hehe and more astronomical topic.

What's the correlation between Mac and Apochromatic refractor ownership?
PC and Celestron 11? How many people do think their 6" apo outperforms 11"
SCTs? How many of them think $3000 of Mac outperform $1000 of PC hardware
and how does that correlate with fluorite zealots vs mirror fans?

I own both Mac and PCs and a small apo and a C11 - I'd rate myself
oecumenic. What about you?

I own about 70 computers (no, really), a mix of Macs, one PC running XP
(games), a couple running FreeBSD and the rest being c.1980 relics
(Apple ]['s, a couple of ICL One-Per-desks etc).

I also own a 10" Newt, a 5" acho and a 3" achro.

I guess you could call me 'undecided' :-)

Well, actually, that's also roughly my case, although I've never really
counted - I collect old stuff, and we've basically kept everything that was
used at the company.

Since you're a fellow collector/nutcase ;-) you deserve a link

Impressive. Perhaps you should have done some drilling down, though.

Scary, huh?

What about doing what you preach?

Did you look at the readme, windbag?

That's your right, but the irony here is that virtually every one of

Aha.

I happen to have MD: what are your qualifications in that field John?

Steinberg I'll bet is a wannabee with no graduate education. But he is
an expert on all things--just ask him. He has the "answers"--the rest
of the world in his view is just plain stupid ignoring his vast store
of wisdom. I'll bet the shrinks have a catchy little term for that
"disorder".

I wouldn't touch any of that with the proverbial 10 foot pole! ;-)

Peace,
