RichA wrote:

Or to an in-depth study of the new Swift Boat-style attacks on AARP; or even an in-depth study of AARP. Or to whether George Bush might have done anything worthy of impeachment. Or an in-depth look at why we are not responding to genocide in Africa. Could be wrong. Maybe UFO's are operated by terrorists, and the Jenning's report tore the lid off the sick cover up. Yea, that's the ticket. -- Tom McDonald http://ahwhatdoiknow.blogspot.com/ |

My difference with the title was that they used:
"Seeing is believing" when it should have been: "Believing is seeing" at least for a large number of those who were suggestible. "RichA" wrote in message ... The stupid ABC Peter Jenning's report on UFOs? -Rich |

Tom McDonald:
how a gay prostitute got through CIA and FBI vetting to get a White House press pass... The CIA does not vet persons who are applying for White-House press passes. In any case, Gannon got his pass because he was a Bush-regime shill. They didn't care what else he was. Hypocrisy is the name of this game. Or to whether George Bush might have done anything worthy of impeachment. Certainly not! Clinton's antics caused a nice blue dress to be sent to the dry cleaner at considerable expense. What harm have Bush's little white lies done? As for ABC's UFO folly, the reason is simple. ABC is in the business of making money by offering entertainment; everything else, including any obligation they might have to the public whose airwaves they use, is incidental. They believed that the program that they presented would attract sufficient advertising revenue to make money, so they aired it. If they could air child rape and murder, and if they thought they could make money at it, they would do that, too. Welcome to the Wonderful World of Disney. Davoud |

ABC observed how Fox "News" has attracted a majority audience with lies,
distortions, misrepresentations, and nonsense (is Michael Jackson's trial of any consequence at all?) -- so -- they decided to follow suit. It's all in the audience size -- larger audience = more advertisers = more money. Just wait -- watch for the UFO story to be followed by: -- "Creation Science: We Had to Come From Somewhere" -- "Remote Viewing: I See You Naked" -- "The 100-MPG Carburetor Detroit Suppressed" -- ----- Joe S. For example, they showed interviews with people who thought they had been abducted. They then showed interviews with doctors and scientists who explained how the mind can make people believe in things that aren't real. Maybe the first half of the show was different but it seems like some here commented without having seen the show. Then again, maybe I just dreamed what I saw and I mistakenly believe it.
