Default Touchdown On The Moon

I discovered hidden away in a cupboard a pack entitled "Touchdown On The
Moon". It was published in 1969 by Phillips and GEMINISCAN Ltd.

It consists of ten items:

1. Two press briefings. A four page and a single page.

2. A drawing of the stack leaving the VAB and a diagram of the various
stages with accompanying notes.

3. A fold out card detailing the Moon suit, presure suit and flight
suit.

4. A chart of the flight path with notes at stages detailing the
manouvres to be performed. This is backed with details of the Service,
command and lunar modules, plus a diagram of the CM display console.

5. Is a press out miniature of the 3rd stage, service module, command
module, lunar module descent stage and lunar module ascent stage for use
on item 4.

6. A twenty-four page flight plan.

7. A list of astronaut's jargon and a full size picture of a footprint
on the moon (Aldrin's?) approx UK size 8!

8. Lunar excursion orders.

9 and 10. Photos of the lunar surface taken by Ranger 9 and Surveyor 7.

There is also a colour picture of lift off and a 7" record of the
Eagle's touchdown and Armstrong's first steps. Including a "lyric" sheet
so you can sing along.

This item is not for sale. Unless it's worth a fortune!

Does anyone else have this pack? I'm not sure but it may have come with
a model kit of the Saturn V as well.

What do you mean by "pack"?

Yes, but was it a homemeade pack, a box, a manilla envelope, etc.? Do
these items appear to have been distributed that way (in the pack) or
were they just grouped together after-the-fact for storage purposes?
Was it a publicity giveaway, a press kit, sold at a store?

I'm just curious because I don't think I've ever found a pack of
anything. Not even gum. The better the description you can give the
better the chance someone will be able to pinpoint its origin.
Especially with tha vinyl record in it; that sounds very unusual.

A clear plastic bag.

Yes. Which is why I said it was published in 1969 by Phillips and
GEMINISCAN Ltd. The 10 items I listed are numbered "Item 1" to "Item
10" on the items.

I have no idea where it came from. I can remember having it when I was
younger, that's all.

Other astronauts possible words while stepping on the moon:

-Wally Schirra:

"There will be no stepping off the LM now! I'm the Commander
and lunar stepping is cancelled for today! If I do decide
to step off, there will be no TV!"

-John Glenn:

"I'm going to step off the LM now, as soon as I untangle
my walker from the landing leg."

-Gus Grissom:

"I'm going to step off the LM now. Am I sinking?"

-Scott Carpenter:

"I'm going to step of the LM......wow
look at the Earth in the sky, let me get some pictures of it."

-Jerry Carr:

"The crew is tired and won't step off the LM today. Maybe tomorrow,
we'll see."

-Jake Garn:

"That's one small ...... barrrrffffff!"

-Story Musgrave:

"Ahhhh, my 17th time on the moon is as beautiful as the first."

-Buzz Aldrin (again):

"There, see! I stepped on the moon. I anyone says
different I'll knock him on his a$$!"

-Gene Cernan (not knowing there's an open mike):

"G@#damn babe! This sonofabitchin' suit itches. S#$t it's hot
out here! Who the f#@k designed this g@#damn ladder? Wait till
I get back, I'll tell those c@#ks@#kers what I think!"

....GeminiScan was, IIRC, a foreign book publisher that got bought out
in the late 70's, and published some of the _Asterix_ series. Took me
a while to remember that one, tho, but where I remember it from was
actually this:

....Does this sound like your pack?

I wonder if there were different editions or versions of the "Touchdown
on the Moon" package. I'm fairly sure I've got one somewhere, and
slightly more certain it never had a vinyl record in it.
