Default Opinions On A Pair Of New Books

One is " Lost In Space; The Fall Of NASA And The Dream Of A
New Space Age ", written by Greg Klerkx, and " Comm Check;
The Final Flight Of Shuttle Columbia ", by Michael Cabbage
and William Harwood.

I spotted both in a Chapters bookshop yesterday, and skimmed
some of the Columbia book, but didn't have time to read more.

Any thoughts from folks who have read them ?

Andre

I found "Lost in Space" to be a pretty scathing indictment of NASA and
some of its practices (especially with regards to commercial efforts),
but not too far off the mark in light of some of my own personal
experiences with the space sector. A pretty good read overall, and
one with a touch of bitter optimism.

I haven't read the otherbook, but I am thinking about "Leaving Earth:
Space Stations, Rival Superpowers, and the Quest for Interplanetary
Travel" by Robert Zimmerman.

Cheers,

I can't be the only one who really mistook that author's name for a
moment, can I?

(they used to grow food in Kansas /
now they wanna grow it on the moon and eat it raw...)
