Default Astronomy Programs For PDA's

Group,
I have a Compaq iPAQ H3670 pocket PC that I would like to use while
observing. Can someone recommend a good astronomy program (either freeware
or commercial) that I can install on my iPAQ? Any help would be greatly
appreciated.

For freeware, I highly recommend Taiyoukei, an ephemeris program that is just
loaded with features - http://www.alfcen.com/pocket/taiyo.htm (just one source;
try Googling for others).

For commercial software, you can't beat TheSky Pocket Edition, from Software
Bisque - http://www.bisque.com.

I use both on my Axim.

For the Palm platform, I would HIGHLY recommend Planetarium. It sells
for $24, with a fully-functional nagware version available to try.

I like Planetarium, too, but it does not run on the Pocket PC platform,
which is the type of device the original poster has.

True but putting in a plug for a good Palm based program is a service for who
may have just read the header.

Of course your own PleiadAtlas is another powerful Palm program.

Both Planetarium ($24) and PleiadAtlas ($10) can be downloaded from the net as
shareware that is fully functional. I registered both and use both..

For my Palm Tungsten E I have both The Sky 2 and Planetarium. Planetarium
is my favorite but both are quite good and filled with features.

You should be able to find them with a Google search.
