Default sci.space.tech?

What's happened to the newsgroup, before I left the Internet a little
over a year ago, there used to be regular technical postings to it,
now after lurking for around a month-I've been back on the Internet
for 5 weeks now-there is practically no postings in sci.space.tech,
and all the regular space tech people who have the answers like Henry
Spencer are in this newsgroup, which WAS for items concerning space
policy, and predictions ect, but this newsgroup is having more
technical oriented posts now?

If sci.space.tech is now an empty group with no-one posting relevant
space tech posts to it anymore, I might as well unsubscribe it from my
list.

I wouldn't unsubscribe. We're just going through a period of political
upheaval due to SS1 winning the X-Prize, the election, Bush's space
initiative, and etc.

The s.s.* hierarchy in general has a poor concept of topicality, this
has been a distinguish feature of the groups for a very long time.

Given that it costs nothing to leave it in your lists... I'd say that
that's nothing but childish posturing. (Especially since Agent will
simply skip over any groups that have no unread messages.)

? sst is still active.

Henry was trying to cut back on his usenet addiction. Claimed he was
more productive when he didn't have access. Though he seems to be
falling off the wagon. Let us hope so anyway.

One guy I haven't seen in sst for awhile is Gordon Pusch. I enjoyed
reading his posts.

Just FYI, Gordon changed employers a while back and one side effect was
that he had to change the computer he was using to access the net. During
that process he had to drop off the net a bit and I suspect he must have
discovered how much more productive he was with no Usenet access and simply
hasn't found motivation to return. Which is a bummer for me since I had all
but turned over moderation of sci.nanotech to him but I've been covering
for him the last fews months and now MY real-world productivity suffers!
