Less than half the futures were something that could possibly have
anything directly to do with terrorism. Results that can only come from
a military coup or broad-based insurgency are not propely described as
"terrorism".

Shortly before 9/11, *someone* shorted an awful lot of airline stock. Al
Qaeda was the obvious suspect, though I've never heard if they were proved
to have made the trades.

It is ridiculous to claim any such could not have been traced - so either
it was done by a group with insider knowledge or it was not. As there have
been no press about this, its incredibly unlikely that it was. Can you point
to any credible evidence to any such insider trading having happened? There
are many sources for past option trade volumes.

Not just that, but NASDAQ put options would have been easier, just as
profitable and much harder to come to anybodies notice.


Anyway, the media is distorting the hell out of this. The actual intent was
the opposite of what it's being portrayed as.
