H will it be worth the effort???

If you are a ATM and do NOT demand good observing weather. Stellafane
is for only one day, this SAturday (today), altho informally it runs
fr, Friday afternoon thru Sunday noon. Several of us from NYSkies are
there now (I didn't go) despite the weather predictions: regular rain
mized with hurrican Bonnie and Charlie rain. For us, Stellafane is a
sixish hour drive from New York City, so it's possible to wait until
the Friday morning to make the go-no-go decision.

Are you traveling the longer route up the NYS Thruway past Albany
and Troy, then into Vermont and past Bennington? I made this mistake
for seven years.
This year I took I-95 into CT, then up I-91 through MA to VT. I
made it back this way on Sat.night/Sun.morn. with no traffic but some
heavy rain in 3hrs.35min. to the NorthWest Bronx.
