Default Toucam Pro advice please?

Hello folks,

I ordered a Toucam Pro from Watford Electronics a few weeks back. They seem
to be having supply problems...at any rate they keep saying Real Soon Now.
Can anybody recommend a retailer who will definitely have some in stock and
will deliver promptly?

Many thanks.

Jo,

There does seem to be a supply problem on these at the moment. I recently
purchased one from True Tech who were waiting on supplies.

I don't know if they have any in stock right now, but surprisingly
enough last time I looked PCWorld were competitive on price.

I got mine from PCWorld last week. Price was £70. Obviously this was
without an adapter to attach it the scope, but surprisingly the adapters
don't seem to be in such short supply

Broadhusrt Clarkson & Fuller (Telescope House)? I bought mine from them
last year and it arrived within a couple of days. Things may have changed
since then of course :-)

Thanks everybody. The retailers all seem to be selling the Toucam Pro II
with a USB 1.1 interface.

Are there any issues with this? I'm aware that USB 1.1 is not especially
fast...is this going to present a data bottleneck?

I note that the various websites with Toucam Pro modification information
are for the original Toucam Pro. Can the same mods be used with the USB
version?

Finally, is there anybody in the UK selling telescope eyepiece adapters for
this camera?

Keep to 5fps max to avoid data compression degredation of the image

Both the original (740) and latest (840) Toucam Pro are USB and are in fact
identical electonically so can be modded for long exposure in the same way
