Anyone else catch the sun halo a few hours ago in the midlands?
URL:http://www.computergeeks.me.uk/halo.html 'Twas georgous! Best of all, a few hours before I predicted that we'd be seeing at least sun dogs later that day 'cos of the way the temperature was dropping and clouds were changing - so feeling both pleased to see the view, and pleased with myself. Big thanks to all those on the group who originally helped me out a few years ago when I saw my first sun-dog and didn't have a clue what it was, and gave me some pointers. It's either my finger of thumb, in an attempt to block out the direct sun light, as I'm sure you already guessed. ![]() Ta-ra, -- Julie Brandon http://www.computergeeks.co.uk/ __________________________________________________ _____________________________ 20th May 2004: Added photos of Sun Halo & Sun Dogs to webpage |

Having scoured parts of Derbyshire for megalithic monuments some years ago, I was wondering how I could have missed such a big one! -- M Stewart Milton Keynes, UK www.megalith.freeserve.co.uk/oddimage.htm http://myweb.tiscali.co.uk/ms1938/ |
