Default amateur digital photography

hi,

i'm interested in doing some basic photography - i.e. camera+tripod
i have taken a number of star-trail images, one of which captured a
couple of meteors - i want to take some more interesting photos - are
there any meteor storms or comets (or anything else?) due this month
or soonish? (i'm in south scotland)

thanks,

jeff

The next meteor shower is the Lyrids but not until April 20-22. I'm sure
there's a comet in Pisces bit it's relatively dim and you'll need a driven
mount for that (if I'm wrong will someone please let me know). Mercury will
be joining Venus & Mars soon so that might make a nice shot.

Hope this helps.

Neil (near Dumfries)
