Default Some guy in a nother news group wrote this, who believes it?

Scientists found massive amounts of gold on several of Jupiterīs
moons. We just have to send our mining ships for getting it.

Who will start this business - Space Mining, lots of $$$ are waiting,
because the one who gets there first will get it all!

The race into space shall begin !

If it were true, the cost of retrieving it would be far greater than the
value of the gold. Concept dead on arrival.

It would be idiotic....
It will cost few billions and decades.... And you end up with useless
decoration.

If you want something more useful, then big chunk of comet will be brought
to moon.

Not necessarily.... if you can get someone else to pay the expenses it could
be quite profitable. :-)

Yes, yes. As the pointy hair boss in Dilbert has said, "If I could just get
rid of all my expenses, all of my revenue would be profit."

The reason golds so expensive is due to the fact there isnt much of it on
earth... the gross total of all gold ever mined , aparently you could fit
under the tower in france.

So... if space is so plentiful of gold...dont you think this would make the
value of gold - nill?

Now... on the other hand, if you was to mine the diamond planetoid they
found not so long ago, then this would be more profitiable - but then how
would you mine the hardest substance known to man anyway?

just my thoughts..

thnks

There is no problem so difficult that it cannot be
solved with a sufficient amount of high explosives. :-)
