Default The moon

I got an Orion Spaceprobe 130mm EQ scope for my 30th birthday yesterday from
my wife, it's something I've been looking at on and off for a while and it
totally blindsided me (I thought she'd got me an exercise bike).

Last night the sky was clear in VA unlike tonight and almost instantly got
an amazing image of the moon although there were some twigs in the way
(We're on an apartment complex with all sorts of floodlighting)
I was waiting to try for saturn but it's far too overcast tonight.

Anyhow, I managed to take a couple of pictures through the ep with my
digital camera, any comments would be welcomed.

Cool. I might try to get some test shots tonight myself. Where in Virginia are
you? I'm in Newport News.

Hi Glenn, Newport News here too, just off Oyster Point/Nettles Drive.
I was looking for somewhere to setup away from the lights around these parts
but can't think of anywhere except my inlaws on the mountains out west.

Any suggestions?

Kristian.

Nice shots. Sometimes it's hard to get a clear view without twigs/trees.

What camera are you using?

Hello ....

Nice gift ... I also have the same type of telescope - got it for
Christmas from my wife. I have one quick question ...

Anyhow, I managed to take a couple of pictures through the ep with my
digital camera, any comments would be welcomed.

I enjoyed looking at your pics of the moon. Could you explain in a
little more detail how you attached your digital camera to the
telescope? Are there attachments (or adapters) out there
and where to purchase them that would what you have posted?
