Diffration Grating Wanted!

Hi Group

Doen anyone know a good source of "not so expensive" diffration gradings
(600 to 1200 g/mm)? I would like to experiment with spectroscopy and maybe
spectrohelioscopy.

If you buy a stack of blank CD-R disks, they often come with an un-silvered
CD on each end. This acts as a fine diffraction grating - the gratings are
circular, but for next to nothing it's worth experimenting.
