Default Mead LPI

I took out the new Mead LPI last night for the lunar eclipse and I had
some problems. I way exceed the minimum requirements for the camera,
but it still same to have an extremely slow refresh rate. Any ideas?
I'm also new to CCD imaging and was wondering if they all work like
this one. For instance, do all of them not use the eye piece? I
thought it was strange that you put the camera in without an eye
piece. How do you up the magnification for close-ups of things like the
moon? Any advice is appreciated.

Thanks,
John
