computer controlled mounting"

Can anyone shed some light on this?

A search on Google for 'Vixen Sphinx' was sufficient to get me here :-

Nice.

Do you realise that price, shown on the web page, of SPD $3,100 converts to
less than £1,100 !!! Seems like a reasonable price?

Best wishes and clear, dark skies.

I have heard about this new mount via the SS2K user group. It looks
very nice if you have a small scope i.e 70 mm refractor.

I can't say I like the new computer. I believe it will eventually
replace the SS2K. Which I have.

I would have preferred Vixen to have spent the money on a mount which
could carry more load than the GDX, and not as expensive as the
Atlux. Perhaps something in the Losmandy GM8 line?.
