Default Perseids meteor shower!

Went out for 15-20 minutes at 1:15 AM SP time to watch the meteor shower.
Seen about 5-6 , one was double and one was very bright, but short.

Frustrating isn't it.

I had exactly the same problem with all those lovely aurora displays last
October - never saw a thing.

Here in the city I counted 18 meteors between 3 AM and 6 AM.
Very hazy and humid and unusually cold for this time of year. It was 47,
which is cold in August.
Some nice meteors though. The haze made the light pollution much worse.
I wonder how good the Leonids will be this year, I have seen much better
showers with that one then the Perseids lately.

thin haze here, making the sky quite bright (light pollution from nearby town), didn't see any
perseid (observed from 10pm till 01.00am), then the thick clouds rolled in.... :-(

Sky cleared at about 1:45 am. I was located near Tippecanoe, IN under a very
clear, fairly dark sky. I saw 223 Perseids between 1:45 and 4:45 am. I think
this was a better than average year.

Everything clear in Southern Germany on the Constance lake. Rate 50-60
meteors per hour observed from 10 PM. Great spectacle!
