Default Comet Chasing in August 2004

We still have many comets visible in smaller instruments that are well
placed for observation in August.

For the latest comet chasing information including finder charts and
visibility broken down by latitude, see:

Clear skies,
Greg

AWESOME Site! Thanks so much. I have been waiting for clear skies for weeks,
so I could check out these comets. Tonight may be the night, and it will be
nice to have your data to help me find them.

Yup! Comet C/2003 K4 LINEAR was 4=B0 south of M3 last night. I viewed =
them both from my backyard with my Tele Vue 76. The comet was larger =
than M3 but dimmer. I was unable to see a any sort of tail through my =
suburban-like skies.

Davoud in Maryland, expecting even yet still more rain from the coming
hurricane.

I feel I must come clean. Several weeks ago, when the rains began, I posted
on S.A.A asking who at just bought a scope in MD. I neglected to
mention/recognize that I had in fact purchased a pool. It appears that it
may be my new unused pool causing the rain problems. I come to this
conclusion because the pool gets plenty of day use, but when I get home from
work, the clouds move and the rains begin.

Davoud...please accept my sincerest apologies. The clouds in MD, are
compliments of me.

I think "OP" means "original poster," but it needn't be the OP; you
would be doing follow-on posters a courtesy by including such
identification as is possible concerning the person whom you are
quoting, whether you are quoting the OP or a subsequent respondent.
