Lauri,
Why do people have to reply with snide remarks? John was just thanking
people for helping him with his eyepiece selection. He simply made the
comment that the World Wide Web has helped people exchange and gather
information much more easily than before it's existence. I am assuming he is
including Usenet as a WWW resource. Most people don't know that Usenet
existed long before the WWW. I personally have found the WWW and Usenet to
be a wealth of information. Were it not for these resources I would still be
using a 60mm refractor and .965" eyepieces under the light dome of the city,
wondering all the while how others see more. Oh and John, from those of us
here at S.A.A who are friendly folk; You are very welcome!

Thanks Tom,

Although I use a computer I come from the age of the Crystal Set and cats
Wisker when many of the folks using WWWand Usenet today were elseware still
waiting for their turn to visit this planet of ours.
I thought it would be nice now Iam less active to learn a little more about
the outside world.
Once again many thanks and Oh Yes right or wrong I have ordered a 2x Barlow
to see how I get on.
Great stuff this astronomy I should have started years ago.
Once again many thanks to those of you who helped me.
John.
