Has he undergone a procedure? Does anyone know how he's doing?

The surgery apparently went well and the prognosis is good. He sounded very
good on the phone last week. Tom was in the thoughts and prayers of lots of
folks lately and I'm sure all the good "vibes" that were sent his way had to
have helped. Now if he'll just quit doing power cleans with those TMB 175's he
can avoid another surgery later on down the road!! Welcome back amigo.

www.tmboptical.com.
Some of the best optical designs around.

oh, and what sort of condition does he have exactly?

I think the mention was of fusing some vertebrae in the spine. Not nice...
He himself, has posted on a couple of occasions since the surgery, and
seemed to be progressing well. Hopefully this is continuing.

Best Wishes

This is what you get after hauling those "built like a tank" OTAs around.

Tom Back is a designer/seller of superior quality refractors under the TMB
brand name. He has frequently posted on this group. He recently underwent
surgery for back problems and, as the following posts explain, has
apparently come through it well.

What are you? A sensitive clod?

Friend of mine cut he's arm with a power saw, not off but quite deep. We
can make jokes about it. I bet if Tom feels offended, which was not my
intention, he can defend himself.
