Default Day time vs Night time

Hi all

Does anyone have this feeling that in certain days of the year that
NIGHT time feels longer than DAY time. For me it is like I fall
asleep and wake up in the middle of night to find that the night is
still young. Does it have something to do with equinox or some other
earth-sun phenomenon? Thanks for any explainations.

Changes are quickest at the equinoxes as can be seen in greater shift in
declination per day he

You're not the only one with this feeling, I feel the same, it's real, and I
know why. Here it is in a nutshell...
you're getting too much sleep. This happens when you get a long spell of
lousy viewing weather and instead of staying up all night watching the
stars, you're sleeping. If these symptoms persist, drop everything you're
doing and take a two week trip to Arizona...bring your telescope. If your
wife or you boss complain, tell them you're only following doctor's
orders.:-)
