Default ASTRO: Partial solar eclipse

We had good weather in Berlin for the partial solar eclipse on March 20.
I did a timelapse (1614 pictures in 2.5 hours) with my Coronado PST and
Trius SX694 camera.
I'll post a link to Youtube, although their compression loses some detail.

Here is the link, which probably has to be copied to an internet browser by
copy and paste:

Sun had a nice prominence as well.

I used to live in the path of the 2017 eclipse. Now I'll have to drive 1000 km to see it and can't take the observatory with me.

Our astronomy club used to own an abandoned Atlas Missile silo right on the center line. We sold it when housing started to develop in the area ruining skies and some oddball paid us 20 times what we paid for it because he wanted to build his house inside the silo. We tried to tell him those two metal buildings housed huge pumps and pointed to two dams that held two small lakes created by the water they pumped out of it. The water table was only about 5 meters down and the silo was now under 30 meters of water. But he was sure he could make it work anyway. He never did but we got the cash and ran. I have a friend that lives on a farm only about 5 miles from the centerline. Likely where I'll go. Hope it is clear.

Rick
