will autostar work with eq mounts

i have a meade autostar 497 and motors ,can i adapt them to work my

In theory, yes, given the 497 controls both Alt/AZ and GEM mounts from Meade.
You'd want to upload the latest 497 firmware (www.meade.com - tech - Autostar)
and also check:

Yes it can. In fact there ws a model that had the 114 mm reflector on
an eq mount. In most recent releases of Autostar software there is
provisions for the Autostar to control the LXD55 mount If you are
going to use a different eq mount than Meade's you will need to have
one of the later releases of software loaded intothe handset. Also you
will have to alter two ratios in the handset to get proper tracking
based on the gear ratio differences in teh eq mount.
