Dear group,
Last week the WASP exoplanet team announced the discovery of five new exoplanets. Last night I pursued one of these five new exoplanets, namely WASP-24b in Virgo. This exoplanet requires 155.5 minutes to transit its parent star at a depth of 12 mmag while requiring only 56.2 hours to complete one orbit about its sun! Further details including the first amateur result involving WASP-24b at http://www.perseus.gr/Astro-Photomet...4-20100422.htm . Clear skies! Anthony. |
