Went outside to check the clouds and looked up at MARS in the low sky, turned my
eyes towards the lightdome of Lancaster/Palmdale/L.A. and right at that second a bright GREEN metor flashed across the sky, I know it wasn't, but it looked like it was right over the hills south of palmdale and burned up just about the middle of the L.A. light area, and with MARS just to one side ... " Ah! First of the Mars War Machines! " Couldn't have been better even if Hollywood had planed it. -- "In this universe the night was falling, the shadows were lengthening towards an east that would not know another dawn. But elsewhere the stars were still young and the light of morning lingered: and along the path he once had followed, man would one day go again." Arthur C.
