iPad's aren't being sold yet, I think. The iPad has no PHYSICAL keyboard but there's a keyboard on the screen that you can use. ( you touch the screen ) I don't know how much it'll cost to connect an iPad to the internet... 60 dollars per month, I assume. The WiFi version ( it comes in different versions ) might let you connect cost·free, like Double·A does. But free WiFi might be hard to find. Double·A could get kicked out of Safeway ( for loitering ). Having Food Stamps helps ( because he's paying in ). |

They don't mind you loitering in a tavern all day long so long as you order an occasional refill. Taverns used to offer free lunches. Now they offer free wi-fi. But as the wise ones say, "There ain't no free lunch!" Double-A |

treBert, Double·A, WiFi is free at the University of Washington; just renew your “Temporary Access” permit every 3 months. You must have your own computer, they don't provide one. ――――――― Double·A wrote: “ When man reached for his back waistband, officer shot him (dead), Portland police say! ”. Cops demand to see your hands at all times... or else ! When my hands are cold, I tuck them into my clothes; cops* hate that. *: including Safeway security guards. |

When I was interviewed on night for just walking down the street, the first thing the cop asked me to do was to take my hands out of my pockets. Had to be sure to release my grip on my two handguns before I did! (Just kidding.) It was cold out there, but I do not argue with the police. I may feel put upon, inconvenienced, and even having my rights violated, but you have about a many rights as a jackrabbit when he is armed, you aren't, and there is no one else around. Might as well be a realist about it. The only time to do otherwise is when you get a sudden impulse to commit suicide by police! Double-A |
