NASA finding oceans of water on Mars, now will have to show lots of
fossils to be credable. Oi ya They are now stuck in their own
crap if they can not produce just one fossil "red clam".They NASA are
good at conning the public, and will soon come up with "Marcian
micrfossils. It could bring in a few billion bucks, and Mafia NASA
always can get the bucks when neeeded Sad but true bert

While they distance themselves from them publicly, guys like Richard
C. Hoagland are the best fund raisers for NASA because they kept
public interest in the explorations alive. People want to hear tales
of signs of life, and lost ancient Martian civilizations. They have
little interest in hearing about analysis of minerals on a lifeless
and barren planet.

If there are microfossils on the Martian surface, maybe the dust storms
would have worn them down. But if the rovers just dig a little more...

**In my personal opinion the Martians are there, they are just using
their telepathic power of illusion to trick us into seeing a barren
landscape, to keep our space ships away and us from bugging their peace.
Kind of the way it is in Ray Bradbury's famous, "The Martian Chronicles."

It does seem rather odd how all those Martian canals so painstakingly
sketched by Percival Lowell all vanished once we got probes close to
Mars!

**That's what I've been saying for years. Before Llowel's time, the
Martians weren't on to us looking at them.

They'd have to dig/drill meters deep. But what the hell, at perhaps
another ten billion public funded dollars per meter, what do we have
to lose?

just for the fun of exploring the Red Planet?

Of course, those Sean Rothschilds should do it for free, even though
every cent they claim to their name came from us to begin with.
