From the recent posts of Chuck, it's has become apparent that he and
Shawn are indeed the same person. Incessant ranting about refractors seems to be all that he/they enjoys Shawn Taylor? Chuck Grant? Grant Taylor? Yes. I think so... It's quite humorous how some people like this think they "know" everything about a subject. If indeed they are the same person, the "Shawn" character is smarter and certainly a lot more entertaining. |

I compared the "received from" in the headers (the only line that can't be forged) and they didn't seem to match. I could be wrong, but I didn't want to waste time doing a complete trace. It can be done but is pretty time consuming. Usually, if I don't see some similarities in the path right away I just assume it isn't the same person. People who post under a pseudonym will spoof a header but they don't usually go to a different computer with a different ID No. (dot quad), so you can usually trace them if you have time. Shawn was pretending to be some Austrian guy for awhile, but the paths were identical because he either doesn't know how to cover his tracks or didn't take the time to do it right because he thought no one would look closely. If you are interested in tackling this, check this site: http://www.computerbits.com/archive/..._tracking.html. Tracing people can be fun, if you have the time to do it. L Brown |

Hi: Now this is just getting silly. Real silly. If that's the way you meant it, fine. Chuck is not Shawn and Shawn is not Chuck. I very much respect Chuck's opinion (well, for that matter, Shawn can be pretty thought-provoking of late). If you don't like Chuck, that's fine. Nobody ever said this was a patty-cake party, but that does not mean he is Shawn Grant bent on world domination! :-) Peace, Rod Mollise Author of _Choosing and Using a Schmidt Cassegrain Telescope_ Like SCTs and MCTs? Hi: You mean you're NOT?! Our nautical clock just struck 6 bells, (7:00 pm EDT)
so in 60 minutes, its time for a shift change....at 8 bells. ;-) TW William Hamblen wrote: On Sat, 16 Aug 2003 14:00:29 -0700, "Chuck Taylor" wrote: Shawn doesn't really exist.
