Wasn't the Catholic Church the first Illuminatis,
all because of Galileo's theories? Amazingly, it wasn't until 1992 that Pope John Paul officially conceded that the earth was not stationary! Backwards idiots. It must have been extremely frustrating to Galileo being a loyal Catholic. Illuminati = enlightened ones? No, just another bunch of BS'ers versed well in the art of BS'ing. |

Have you conceded that light speed is not constant? If not, you need to look yourself in the mirror. |

The other guy is just the latest money-grubbing father of tens of thousands of child abusers and will be forgotten five minutes after he descends to his maker. |

If that's not round the twist nothing is. Tis the season for empiricists to sound small !. This is what happens when you develop astrological 'predictions' as the core of a belief and all based on an astrological framework created by John Flamsteed and now known as the 'equatorial coordinate system'. Empricists are fine ,the problem is now with denominational Christianity who reject the very astronomical heritage to which Galileo belonged,a heritage which at complete variance with the present astrological intrusion by the empiricists. The condition of being sour is one thing but added to unintelligence is quite something else yet that is exactly what happened when mathematicians ran amok with astronomy and can be seehere day in and day out. |

Well, no. In fact, it was in the 1820s that they authorized a re-issue of Galileo's work, without any omissions or "corrections"; and when the one official who could obstruct the publication decided to obscruct it because he didn't like that stuff, the Vatican threatened to punish him if he didn't let the project go ahead. By that time there was nobody who questioned the motion of the Earth, barring an occasional bozo like this one, or like a modern Creationist. The highest authorities mainly wanted the issue to go away -- and it took another 150 years to figure out that it wouldn't, and it needed to be faced in public. The funny part about that is that Galileo wrote a note in the margin of his copy of the book, addressed satirically to the Church authorities and warning that one day his ideas might be accepted, and then they'd have to attack anybody who *denied* heliocentrism. (Hence: better to keep out of these issues, just as he'd tried to tell them since 1615 or so.) So he wasn't just a scientist, but a prophet, and a better one than most. Backwards idiots. It must have been extremely frustrating to Galileo being a loyal Catholic. You said it! -- Dan Drake http://www.dandrake.com/ porlockjr.blogspot.com |
