Hi AC,

I do not look favorably upon the merging of predictions and
retrodictions as evidenced in your term "retroprediction". In science
I think one can and must separate the two. As you mention, the
referenced research could retrodict the currently known value for the
proton mass, and then, in principle, validly predict a more refined
value that could be tested when experimental capabilities improve
enough for such a test. But at present they are most definitely
testing retrodictions. I can get the same results in about a half-hour
of hand calculations using Wheeler's geometrodynamics form of the Kerr-
Newman solutions of the Einstein-Maxwell equations. The trick is that
you have to know the correct value for the gravitational coupling
factor that applies in the case of the proton.
