Default Occulation of Mars

The moon will occult Mars in about twelve hours from now for observers
in northerly latitudes. Who's got clear weather for this event? It
will be clear here, but no occulation. Mars will be close, but no
cigar.

A very fuzzy moon sometimes peaking through light clouds, and in 12
hours the sun will be up.(Netherlands)

Just had a misty look at the moon/mars, there still is about
2.5 moon diameter between them(1.42 GMT dec 24) if I interpreted the
sky correctly, let me check with stellarium....hmm that was a star,
not Mars, check the sky again...., either the fog and the moon conspire
to hide mars, or mars might already be bind it. Oh well...

Clouded over here in Edmonton, Alberta: I canąt even tell where the Moon
is.

Same in Calgary (300km south). It cleared up enough by 3am (when I was
feeding the baby) to actually see the moon and mars through a heavy haze,
but it was all over by then.

More like the color of a burning ember.

The moon and Mars are out here right now, Mars is indeed a bright orange
beacon next to the moon.
