The following is an excerpt from Item 4 of an admissions document filed by Lockheed with the Superior Court, County of Santa Barbara (Proof of Service dated May 22, 1992): "However, Lockheed admits that documents relating to the installation, inspection, verification and operation of the ground services associated with the launch of Mission 51-L were turned over to NASA after the explosion of the Challenger space shuttle and are currently under protective seal and restricted distribution."
