Guy, I converted to Chan Buddhism when I was in college. Since we do
not believe in a supreme being, some say it is not a Religion at all.
Buddhism is a way of life, a philosophy, a psychology, a way of
thinking, through which we may take on the responsibility of
determining our life-bearing kamma (karma). Kamma is moral action
which causes future retribution, and either good or bad
transmigration. It is also that moral kernel in each being which
survives death for further rebirth or metempsychosis

The fundamental ethical principle for Buddhism, is not killing or
causing harm to other living beings and all the other precepts are
elaborations of this.

Would not the world be a better place if everyone was a Buddhist?

No. The world will be a better place when it is replaced with a new
earth which will have a new Jerusalem surrounded by a new heaven.

Christianity is not a religion but a relationship with the risen LORD
Jesus Christ, Whose return HIS brethren await because with HIM, there
will be a new heaven, new earth, and a new Jerusalem. LORD Almighty
GOD is the Creator of heaven and earth.

You forgot to "convict" this person, Chung. I'm sure if you keep
working at it, you'll be calling her a "demon" in no time.

Prayers would be wasted on eternally condemned souls, which are
corporeal demons in transit to becoming non-corporeal demons as their
bodies die. Secularly, the latter non-corporeal demons are also known
as either evil spirits or evil ghosts.

Pure idiocy. You are one spectacular kook, Chung.

Thanks, I fixed it.

Just the aftermath of Art Deco virus bomb. No biggie. Have 4 computers
in case he ever scores a direct hit on one.

What the hell does an "Art Deco virus" do -- make you involuntarily troll
support groups? LOL! I guess that means spooge and Archie Leach have the
virus, too.

(alt.support.diabetes snecked, alt.flame added)

Here's another cluebat for you: Andrew B. Chung is the support group
troller and spammer. Art is merely being so kind as to provide an
alternative to Crazy Andy II's abuse of the net for the regulars of
alt.support.diabetes and alt.support.anxiety-panic to read. Oh, and as
long as you're slurping Outhouse John, multiple award-winning k00k,
while attacking Art -- **** off, BowTie.

"When I told Abbie Hoffman that he was the first one who made me laugh
since Lenny Bruce died, Hoffman said, "Really? He was my god." The
combination of satirical irreverence and sense of justice that Bruce and
Hoffman shared was the real spirit behind the Yippies--a term I coined
to describe a phenomenon that already existed: an organic coalition of
stoned hippies and political activists who engaged in such actions as
throwing money on the floor of the New York Stock Exchange, then
explaining to reporters the meaning of that symbolism. Folksinger Phil
Ochs summed it up: "A demonstration should turn you on, not turn you
off." So when journalists link the Yippies with misleading bedfellows,
at best it's careless shorthand; at worst it's deliberate demonization.

Religion is absolutely, positively *not* off-topic on alt.flame. Just about
everything is fair game here. We'll flame your religion, we'll flame your
philosophy, we'll flame your wife, we'll flame your house, we'll flame your
dog.

Just wanted to clarify that.
