I guess the Berry camera and the French one (can't remember the name)
were the only DIY
CCDs that have come out? Pity, the development kit for the Kodak is
very pricey. It's cheaper to get a top flight DSLR!

While I'd like to get into astro foto, anything beyond my DSLR is
unlikely for the foreseeable future. However, the predecessors to this
camera were in the four figure bracket (in pounds, euros and dollars)
for quite a spell. With the increase in frequency of astrocams in the
magazines of late I expect time will bring prices down. Maybe a year,
maybe a year and a half.
