Default My Toggling Brain ???

First my brain is very old. Second Scott and others say I babble. Kind
of scary, Do they say it to be nasty, and bring me down,or is it reality?
Hard to analyze one's self. Still I have noticed I interrupt my own
thoughts as I type. Look back at my posts, and you will see me say "this
thought just jumped in" Hmmmm Is this due to a "toggling old brain?" I
say yes it is. Here is my theory on this sad situation. Old brains are
distracted by background ideas(old stuff) that was put there many years
ago. Reality is its making my thinking jumpy. Well I know my brain's
frontal cortex might be the part of my brain that is going.first 'sad
but true'. Next could be the creative part of my brain, and than what?.
Am I scared (oh Ya) Will the day come I will not find my way home(oh ya)
I know my days of posting are coming to an end shortly Maybe its for
the best this should be my last week of posting. Don't want my last post
to make me into a babbling idiot. Well read my posts this week/. Be
honest and evaluate them, and I'll go with "you all" as what to do."
Goggle Brain Bert Best to keep in mind my hurricane predictions have
been so far 100% off Bert

Well, Beeeert, I have another theory on this. I bet you can clearly remember
things that happened years ago, but recent information comes in, stays for a
short visit and then disappears into thin air, leaving nary a trace. You
see, your brain is like a bucket; once it's full, there is no room for any
more information. New data just slides off the heap in the bucket and drops
off the rim, never to be seen or heard from again. On the way, though,
itty-bitty bits stay lodged and those are the ones that make you say
something like "I remember it was hairy and looked like a taco, but I
haven't got a clue what it was". That's old age, Beeert. So keep plugging
at it, you're not doing badly for a man of 97.

I don't think you babble, if it's any comfort to you
many time i think you don't use your common sense when you come up with
a new theory (idea) but thats not the same as babble

so keep posting, i need a serious opponent, it's no fun if all agree with
you
new ideas will not be born if you don't have opponents

and i like the fact you don't belive in hocus pocus Gods

Bert, I hope you keep on posting until at least your 100th birthday.
My grandfather came within three years of that and still could remember
recent events and carry on a lucid conversation. And you do very well
considering your consumption of Bud Lite. With some other posters it
is obvious when they are posting drunk, but you keep a pretty even keel
whether it is your 1st Bud of the day or your 12th! Also they say that
beer helps counteract the effects of creeping senility.

Double-A I really think the first 4 beers act as a stimulant. I don't
post after 7 beers and tonite I'm at my 7th,so I'm not going to say
anything to profound. Best to keep in mind I'm 50 years past my brain's
prime time. How much good thinking did Einstein do after he was 78,and a
half years old? Well time for my 8th beer, and watch tv. Bert

Einstein didn't live quite that long, but:

When Einstein died on April 18, 1955, he left a piece of writing ending
in an unfinished sentence. These were his last words:

"In essence, the conflict that exists today is
no more than an old-style struggle for power,
once again presented to mankind in semi-religious trappings.
The difference is that, this time, the development of atomic power
has imbued the struggle with a ghostly character;
for both parties know and admit that,
should the quarrel deteriorate into actual war, mankind is doomed.
Despite this knowledge, statesmen in responsible positions
on both sides continue to employ the well-known technique
of seeking to intimidate and demoralize the opponent
by marshaling superior military strength.
They do so even though such a policy
entails the risk of war and doom.
Not one statesman in a position of responsibility has dared
to pursue the only course that holds out any promise of peace,
the course of supranational security,
since for a statesman to follow such a course
would be tantamount to political suicide.
Political passions, once they have been fanned into flame,
exact their victims ....."

And nothing has changed since those wise words were last
written by Dr. Einstein Commander for still we witness those flames
being fanned into war atrocities. Oh the humanity, the coffee boys rag
on, the politics of struggle for power goes on and the innocent still
suffer. While the UN tries to play the supranational security role and
rushes in peace forces to prevent present further war repercussions the
blood of the innocent still is spilled. In the end it is only the life
saved not lost that counts, and the actions of good men trying to make
the planet better for future generations that ultimately counts and will
make a difference and be remembered.

My question is, what were the UN observers in Lebanon doing over the
last six years while Hezbollah was stocking up with 10,000 rockets?
Adjusting each other's blindfolds?

Considering the many cases of scandal uncovered in the UN in recent
years, I think someone should investigate how much money was flowing
into the pockets of the seemingly blind UN "observers".

Double-A Just like I said Einstein had no good ideas at 78.5 years.
Those might have been his thoughts on wars(much like mine) but some one
did the words for him, Some one should do the words for me. Bert
