Googling I have come across reference to Astrostack which is supposed to run on Linux but it is not free. Before lashing out, has any one experience of this please? Norman |

If Wine is not an option, what others do we have, please? I have found a piece of software called AstroStack3LE. It is not free but there is a trial version available on the website. It seems to work OK on Ubuntu and doubtless will work on other versions of Linux. The only difficulty I now have is that, lacking a video camera, I want to use the video on my digital camera. This produces files which AstroStack cannot read. However there is a piece of free software available, called rad video tools, I think, which claims to convert files, such as avi to jpeg, but requires windows. It appears to run in Crossover so may run in wine. There is quite a lot of information on Google. Hope this is helpful to Linux users. Norman |
