Default Saturn V launch - Mode 1 bravo, etc

In a Apollo/Saturn V launch, the flight controllers say "mode 1 bravo"
and later "mode 1 charlie". What are these - different abort modes?

Here is a description. There were Modes 1a, 1b, 1c and
2-4.
