Default talking telescope ouch!!

I see Bushnell are doing a talking telescope, ive got a feeling
that would soon get on my nerves :-)

apparently i tells you what your looking at, can you just imagine
a darlek sounding voice saying Jupiter? in fairness electronic
voices are a lot better these days. and it could be educational.

There is a product called DigitalSky Voice that allows you to talk to your
telescope mount (without men in white coats turning up to take you away). I
gather you are supposed to be able to say things like "find M13" at a
microphone and the software converts that into the corresponding commands
for Meade and/or Celestron mounts. Could be fun at public viewing sessions
I guess. I had a look at there website but couldn't find out much. It says
they are pending a new release with no further info.

Klazmon.

Or eyes? I can't see it being used by the blind.

No Hawking, although electronic, isn't an astronomer. It should be
Patrick's voice.

Can you imagine how that'd go down at a star party? ;-)

Or Sagan perhaps.

But to be commercially successful, it would have to be Russell Grant
:-)
