Rosamond Report 5/27/06

Sat.night 5/27/06

Much like friday night I sat up, the wind was still blowing
but not as strong as the night before, but still as cold.

Not much was going on, until near 8:45 a lady showed up, she
is a reporter for the Mojave Desert News and wanted to see
what this Sidewalk Astronomy was like. Dur the next hour I
told her about my scopes, why I did this and why I had picked
this spot. Showed her both Jupiter and Saturn in a 10mm EP.

While we talked another two guys walked over to see the views,
she talked a bit to them, they where new to the area by about
3 months and they'll been seeing me sitting out there.

She watched as 3 older teens stopped by and two of them had
a look see, the 3rd I think was to 'High' to know what was
going on. She took some photos of me as I was aiming the scope
to show someone Saturn. So I'll have to watch that paper
which I get anyway, to see if she does get a story printed.

By the time she was leaving, the winds had picked up and even
foster freeze was empty of anyone, so I packed up and came
home to pour some hot coffee into my frozen body.
