Here follows the one true ballot for the inaugural Richard M Nixon
Memorial "Pathological Liar" Award. But first, here are some boring rules. 1. All official AUK rules and traditions apply, with the following exceptions. 2. As FNVW Emeritus, I no longer have to spend weeks, or maybe months, evaluating every ballot received. If five minutes in Google don't convince me that a stranger is a bona-fide voter, that's just too bad. If your vote isn't counted, feel free to whine about your democratic rights or (preferably) threaten to sue me. 3. You may, if you wish, rank candidates in order, "1" being your first choice, "2" your second, and so on. Such votes will be transferred in accordance with ordinary preferential-voting methods if your first-choice candidate is eliminated for lack of support. However, there is no obligation to vote in this way. I'm not sure I fully understand the system myself. 4. Since this ballot has been somewhat rushed, votes for write-in candidates may be accepted at the FNVWE's discretion. So, without further ado, here are your long-nosed perpetrators of terminological inexactitudes: - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - RICHARD M NIXON MEMORIAL "PATHOLOGICAL LIAR" AWARD (Vote for one.) Fake ballot, posted by BowTie. The real ballot doesn't include Brad, St00pid or the saucerheads, and certainly wasn't crossposted to it.test. I might count sane people's votes for BowTie's added candidates as valid write-ins. OTOH, I might not. He's going to be biting his nails all week until I decide, isn't he? Either way, BowTie has fallen into my "write-in" trap just as I hoped he would. He's a rather predictable wee kook, isn't he?
