Default CNN: Subbing for Martian landscape: North Dakota

http://www.cnn.com/2006/TECH/space/0...ion=cnn_latest

Students from various North Dakota universities (not including, alas,
the University of Southern North Dakota) developed a prototype Mars suit
under a grant from NASA.

Pat Flannery, according the article (well, reading between the lines)
lives in the closest thing to Mars in the US.
