RS Ophiuchi outburst 71 days on
I have updated my RS Oph page with the latest spectrum from 22nd
April taken using the Star Analyser diffraction grating and modifed webcam http://mysite.wanadoo-members.co.uk/...spectra_24.htm The low ionisation level lines (H alpha etc) are now in decline relative to the background but the high ionisation level (coronal) lines have become more evident. These need temperatures in excess of 1 million degrees to form!
