Default California Doomed Again!

Double-A Best to keep in mind the LA area is a desert with lots of
sandy hills. 2 inches of rain can cause a flash flood. Florida is also
all sand, but it is "flat" no flash floods here. Lots of rain brings the
water level up out of the ground, and that is the reason for all its
swamp land, and shallow lakes, and ponds. Reality is man has raised up
the land about 4 feet for homes highways and cities. This week man has
built the tallest mountain here in Florida. It is called Mt. Everest.and
it is only 12 miles from me. TreBert

So how high is it?

There is a group of mountain climbers whose goal it is to climb the
highest mountain in each of the 50 states. In Oregon that would be Mt.
Hood at at 11,249 feet.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mount_Hood

In Washington it would be Mt. Ranier at 14,411feet.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mt._Rainier

In Iowa it's just a bump in the middle of a corn field called Hawkeye
Point at 1,670 feet!

So I was wondering where climbers go to climb the highest mountain in
Florida? I think I asked you this before, but instead of putting you
on the spot again, I found a handy website that tells me the answer for
every state.

http://geology.com/state-high-points.shtml

It says Briton Hill for Florida at 345 feet!

Boy, even flatland Iowa has that beat!

I couldn't even find a picture of that mole hill!

Double-A Mt Everest is in Disney World,it is a high roller coaster
ride. Did not know florida had such a high hill. It must be up by
Jacksonville Grew up in Chelsea Ma,and Powder On Hill was over
500 ft. I*t could have been another Bunker Hill that'[s about 5 miles
away in charstown; Love tall mountains even if I am afraid of height

Up by Mt Hood there's a big ski lodge called Timberline Lodge. You can
go into the cocktail lounge and have a view right up the side of the
mountain while you're sipping your drink. It's an awesome sight.
There is skiing there year round. From the viewing deck you can see
the mountains way down in central Oregon. Haven't been up there for
many years. Nowadays you need a parking permit of one kind or another
for just about anywhere you go! Makes it too complicated for the
casual tourist.

Down in California it has rained every day so far this April. Here in
Oregon only two days. Way back when, Walt Disney sold the rights to
use the name and logos of "The Oregon Ducks" to the University of
Oregon for one dollar. That nickname "Ducks" with their webbed feet
seemed the perfect match for our rainy climate. Now I think we should
return the name to Disney and ask for our dollar back. That name seems
better fitted to California now!

Double_A here in Florida less than an inch of rain in 6 weeks. That is a
record. had birds every year building nests in my back yard They must
have gone to some lake. Not one twitter Today it cooled down to
about 81F,and no humidity. If its just Rudy and I sell the house this
spring I'll get in my custom van and take a ride to Oregon. I've never
been there. Pick up Twitty and take her to Indiana.(its on the way)
Instead of the Niagara falls,I think spending some time at Nevada's Lake
Tahoe Cal-Neva lodge, play poker every day,and then down to So Calif.
where they have the Neptune Society, and my ashes thrown out to sea(I
like that) Its time I stopped eating MSP and let nature have her way.

Here is something that does not surprise me. Drinking Florida water can
kill. Just had a chance to read the Sunday Orlando Sentinel
Class action suit against Florida's biggest supplier of water. People
are coming down with leukemia, and cancer of the liver. I posted over
the years I don't drink Florida water because it is shallow ground
water, and this water seeps through millions of coffins. Also only drink
Bud light when I'm thirsty. Bud Has saved my life. Severn Trent
Avatar Utilities sells the same cancerous water in my area. They can't
be touched. Their billing is fraudulent.Well I've posted about them over
and over. Lots of movies have been made about utility co. that kill
people Cher got an award, and just a few years ago Julia Roberts.
Organized crime has taken over utilities in Florida. Sad but true.

That's my Officer Bert finally back again, good, and I like the
idea of you dropping Officer Twitty and friend to me. We could meet at
Huntington Beach later for more fun at Ruby's dinner and watching the
stars at night on the warm beach. I loved Huntington Beach Officer Bert
what a friendly and pretty girl loaded spot. Pick-up Officer Double-A
too while you're up there before coming down to LA. I'll make sure
Officer Twitty gets all her pharmaceuticals and a little nice Captain
nightbat company too. As a Profound Earth Science Team Officer it's my
duty to try to always make her happy and girl friend too. Wow! now
you're thinking Bert and so good to have you back. By then my Sil should
be back and what a hot fun summer we could all have.

fun summer pondering,
the nightbat
